A Way to Truth

"Have I ever suspected that I will lead millions of people? No. But I did know that I have important responsibilities to attend to, responsibilities for the present day. Human life is in a way a task. We have to search for truth our whole lives. If we give up on that, we lose our lives. Everyone receives a talent to use, and, in this sense, every person has a specific task to do. It can take many forms because there are no greater and smaller tasks. Everyone receives the greatest one of them, according to one's possibilities." - President Lech Walesa writes in his autobiography entitled "A Way to Truth," which will be published in mid-October on the occasion of his 65th birthday and the 25th anniversary of awarding him the Nobel Peace Prize.

This 600-page book contains never before published photographs, documents and accounts from the most important events in Lech Walesa's life and in Poland's most recent history.
